Crystal Palace run for MSV F3 Cup race winner

MSV F3 Cup race winner Aaron Steele to take part in Crystal Palace hillclimb.

MSV F3 Cup race winner Aaron Steele will prepare for the challenges of Spa in an unusual fashion with a blast through Crystal Palace this Bank Holiday weekend (May 29-30).

The Kent based driver, who has won four of the six MSV F3 Cup races this season, will demonstrate his Gray's Motorsport Formula 3 Dallara with a number of sprint runs of the historic Crystal Palace race circuit on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

The Motorsport at the Palace event will see a host of drivers and machinery compete in a timed hillclimb event on part of the famous race circuit. Racing at the parkland Crystal Palace venue began in 1899 and ended in 1972.

With less than three weeks to the next round of the MSV F3 Cup at Belgium's Spa circuit, Steele is looking forward to the hillclimb challenge.

He said: "Crystal Palace should be a really fun event. Driving an F3 car around what is a park where people walk their dogs round on a Sunday afternoon is going to be a challenge for sure."

"There's going to be a lot of hidden unexpected bumps that will try to throw the car off, and the track width is very narrow, so it's going to be a challenge, but being able to drive the historic race circuit will be very enjoyable and I'm looking forward to showing a bit of what the car can do to the crowd."

The MSV F3 Cup continues with a visit to the fast and challenging Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium on June 10-12. CLICK HERE for more information on the meeting.
