23/12/2011 - The racing season in the UK has all but finished for the year and for MSVR the emphasis now is planning for 2012.

MSVR has enjoyed a great 2011 with countless competitors having driven thousands of miles in events the length & breadth of the country. Most of these have been safe racing miles with very few serious accidents. To relive the year watch the MSVR 2011 season highlights video (see right).

Our various championships and series have produced bumper grids, terrific racing and the marshals have supported those competitors in their usual professional manner.

Champions have been crowned:

GT Cup Championship: Andy Ruhan

MK2 Golf GTI Championship: Guy Stevens

VAG Trophy: Dan Rose

Lotus Cup UK: Steve Quick

MINI Challenge: Chris Knox

Production BMW Championship: Mike Tovey

Radical Clubman's Cup: James Abbott

Radical UK Cup:  Mark Smithson and Stuart Moseley

SPEED Euroseries: Jody Firth and Warren Hughes

Monoposto Championship: 2000: Tristan Cliffe: Classic: Peter Venn: 1800: Pete Bragg: 1600: Nigel Davers: 1400: Geoff Fern: 1000: Adrian Wright

While it will become a Championship in 2012, the F3 Cup deserves a mention too. Aaron Steele enjoyed a strong season and was rewarded with a Formula Two test drive in Spain recently. We are all looking forward to seeing the F3 Cup grow next season.

Well done to you all and a huge thanks to all competitors, event officials and the hardworking coordinators!

I would like to add my personal thanks to the dedicated Senior Officials team that give their time to assist with the running of the MSVR race meetings and to the small team at Brands Hatch, David Willey, Alex Shaw, Gemma Mole and Tom Howard.

I do hope that you have all enjoyed your motorsport with MSVR this year and hope to see you all at our events in 2012.

I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and healthy, happy and a safe 2012.
