Steele faces mammoth task to continue his run of victories
Aaron Steele ready to take on 48 car grid at Spa Francorchamps
09/06/2011 - He has been the dominant driver in the MSV F3 Cup this season but Aaron Steele faces his toughest challenge to date at Spa this weekend.
The Kent driver has won four of the six races in the MSV F3 Cup, but he will have to beat 47 competitors around a relatively unfamiliar circuit to reach the top step of the podium.
Despite the extent of the challenge ahead of him, the 22-year-old is eager to mix it with drivers from the Austria F3 Cup, in two fascinating 25 minute races at the famed 4.4-mile track. Steele last visited Spa in 2006 when he took part in the Formula Palmer Audi Championship.
He said: "Spa is one of those circuits that any great driver around the world loves. It's a real challenge, but an extremely fun one. I raced there once before and I am extremely excited to be going back there again. The MSV F3 Series is going to be run with Austrian club F3 and some Formula Renaults, so it's going to be a single-seater free-for-all. Hopefully I'll be at the front of and out of the way of any carnage.
"Winning overall is going to be a challenge and it is my main aim, but it depends on how quick the Austrian F3 guys are, as they are allowed to run newer and faster cars in their regulations."
