16/08/2012 - The F3 Cup grid for the latest round at Brands Hatch GP is set for a boost with the return of 2011 podium regular Mark Terry this weekend (18/19 August).
The Kent racer has been a notable absentee from the championship this season but he has managed to find the funds to compete at his home circuit with Lanan Racing after almost a year away from the track.
Terry racked up several podium finishes last year and is eager to return to the F3 Cup behind the wheel of his proven Dallara F302. After such a long time away from the paddock, the Chatham driver has lowered his expectations for the weekend but remains confident he can challenge for a top 10 finish.
He said: "I absolutely cannot wait to get back in the car again. I'm hoping it will be dry as these conditions would allow me to get the best out of me and the car. If it is wet then it may slow me down a bit as I am a little rusty in the car.
"I have lowered my expectations this weekend but I am hoping I can put on a good show in front of my sponsors and family. I love Brands Hatch and in my eyes it is like a mini Spa Francorchamps it is such a great circuit to attack."
Terry could well be a dark horse for this weekend at Brands Hatch GP if he can recapture the form of last season.
