F3 Cup is providing the Formula 3 action at the Zolder Grand Prix this weekend to help celebrate 50 years of the historic Belgian circuit. The prestigious setting hosts the only 2013 overseas round and will bring up the midway point of the season.

Tristan Cliffe proved his pace at the last round at Brands Hatch by claiming fastest lap in both race one and two, and he expects it to be just as tight at the front in Belgium.

"I think qualifying will be close. I estimate half a second covering the top four, but it's anyone's guess which order they will be in. Alice is surely favourite for pole if her engine is fixed, and Henry was very quick prior to the engine blow-up at Silverstone, so I think he's probably favourite for the other front row spot. But Alex Craven and I will be doing everything we can to beat them, and each other."

"It should be fun. I've not been there before, but I've been learning the track digitally and I think I know most of it fairly well. It's just the small details - kerb shapes, bumps, grip levels - that I need to figure out."

Alex Craven agreed, and like Cliffe he has been doing as much as possible to try and learn the circuit so he can add to his round five win at Brands Hatch and continue to fight at the top of the championship standings.

"I'm hoping it will be another close round. It would be nice to beat Alice in a fair fight after her handicapped weekend driving someone else's car at Brands Hatch so we're definitely going all out for the win." Alex said.

"It's a shame there isn't more of a chance for some testing but we'll walk the track and I'm cycling the track with Ridley cycles. I've driven it quite a lot on the simulator and the chicanes will be vital; we'll need to ensure we're tight in and quick to get the power down on the way out."

Henry Chart returns this weekend after missing the Brands Hatch round as a knock-on effect of his engine woes at Silverstone. The circuit is new to the Enigma Motorsport prodigy like many on the F3 Cup grid.

"I've not been before so it should be interesting. We only have 30 minutes or so on Friday and we're getting there Thursday. I went to iZone to have an hour on their sim but it's not the same. There are lots of chicanes by the looks of it." Chart added.

"It should be good and I'm looking forward to it, although we are playing catch up a bit. We should be in the hunt though."

Joining F3 Cup at the Zolder Grand Prix will be the open single-seater series BOSS GP, home to former Indycars, F1, GP2, F3000 and Worldseries by Renault cars. The Porsche GT3 Challenge Benelux and the historic sports and saloon cars from the Belgian Historic Cup are alson on the bill.

F3 Cup will be on track for Friday Free Practice at 17.15 (18.15 GMT). Qualifying starts at 14.40 on Saturday before race one at 17.25 GMT. Race two starts at 15.00 on Sunday.
