Alex Craven controlled from start to finish to take his first win of the season at Brands Hatch Indy.

The consistent Louis Hamilton-Smith added a second place to his pair of thirds from Silverstone and Tristan Cliffe made good his claim to be fighting for a podium to take third.

After a clean start, Lanan Racing's Craven never looked back to boost his championship chances with a maximum. Craven came into the Brands Hatch round in second place behind Alice Powell.

Powell has endured a tough weekend, a blown head gasket on Friday has meant she's in Frank Thomas' Mark Bailey Racing car. She finished just outside the podium places in fourth, after only getting to grips with the car in qualifying.

The front three ran closely throughout, Cliffe especially putting Hamilton-Smith under pressure late on. Hamilton-Smith held on though by half a second for his best finish of the season.

Mark Harrison drove well to fifth, and Robbie Watts managed to old off Stuart Wiltshire for sixth. Dave Karakas took eighth in his Trophy 01 Class Opel Speiss ahead of Neil Harrison and Nick Robinson.
