Alex Craven claimed a fine pole in his Dallara F307 Volkswagen in a hectic F3 Cup qualifying.

Alex Craven claimed a fine pole in his Dallara F307 Volkswagen in a hectic F3 Cup qualifying. All of the top five spent time atop the timesheets but it was Craven's time midway through the session that secured pole.

Louis Hamilton-Smith has given himself the perfect springboard to continue his run of podiums starting second in this afternoon's race. Row two sees Tristan Cliffe and Championship leader Alice Powell together; Powell suffered in testing on Friday and is now running in a loaned Frank Thomas car. Cliffe had an eventful session, setting the timsesheets alight early on before spinning at McLarens.

Robbie Watts was right on the pace too, he lines up in fifth alongside the sixth placed Mark Harrison. The session nearly ended early for Harrison and his brother Neil after a close call at Clearways left Neil beached on the kerb. Neil will start 10th following the spin.

David Scott heads Stuart Wiltshire on row four and Silverstone race-winner Henry Chart lines up ninth. Dave Karakas starts 11th, with Nick Robinson 12th and newcomer Scott Temple in 13th.
