Felix Da Costa returns to F3 Cup at Snetterton this weekend

Red Bull junior driver Antonio Felix Da Costa will be making his second appearance in F3 Cup this weekend at Snetterton with F3 superteam Carlin. He previously joined F3 Cup for the final round in 2012, winning twice in exuberant fashion before going on to win the prestigious Macau GP on his first visit.

The Portuguese racer was widely expected to be announced as Jean-Eric Vergne's team-mate at Torro Rosso for 2014, but the Red Bull-backed squad opted for another of their junior drivers, Daniil Kvyat.

Felix Da Costa will be racing at Macau with Carlin once again, replacing the F1-bound Russian who had recently been announced as part of their six driver line-up. With Felix Da Costa contesting Formula Renault 3.5 Series this season, he needs to enter a Formula Three event to gain eligibility for the prestigious season-ending race.

He joins fellow Carlin racer and Red Bull junior driver Carlos Sainz, jr. on the F3 Cup grid in the invitational class along with Esteban Ocon.

Tickets to this weekend's (26/27 October) cost £13 on the gate with children 12 years and under admitted free.
