Enigma Motorsport back to full strength for Oulton Park

Enigma Motorsport returns to full strength this weekend (Saturday 12 July) at Oulton Park for rounds nine and ten of F3 Cup, with both Henry Chart and Oliver Rae expected to be in contention.

Bad luck and university commitments have restricted the Bedfordshire-based squad to single car entries since the opening rounds at Snetterton in April. Rae claimed a pair of third-place finishes at Spa last time out, and Chart scored a second and a third in the seat of team-mate Rae's car at Silverstone, two rounds before.

Rae's impressive results in his Trophy 01 Class car have him on the coattails of Lee Morgan, who currently sits third in the overall drivers' standings.

"Our target is to get Oliver into third," Enigma team manager Tom Farquhar said. "He's been quick all year, and his car has shown to be competitive with the newer Cup 07 Class cars too. It will be fast at Oulton, so we're hoping to overtake Morgan in the table."

Chart's return should bring Enigma back into contention in the teams' standings. The team lies fourth at the halfway mark, 43 points adrift of third-placed Lanan Racing, who have drivers' championship leader Toby Sowery racking up their points.

Farquhar said: "Henry was matching Toby at Snetterton before his engine issue. The engine's now back from Germany. It's a shame he's had to miss rounds due to his degree. He's always good around Oulton Park so he should be giving Toby a run at the front.

"With two quick drivers, our main aim is to win races both in class and outright, then get as high up in the points as possible."
