A quarter of a century of Formula Three machinery will be battling it out this weekend (25/26 October) as the 2014 F3 Cup season concludes at Snetterton.

The Masters 96 Class welcomes back Geoffrey Hoodless and his Toyota-powered March 813 from 1981, with the grid spanning 25 years of development up to the Cup 07 Class, via the Trophy 01 Class.

The most meritorious driver of 2011, Aaron Steele, also returns, back in the championship for the first time since his fleeting appearance at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, in 2012. Grays Motorsport's Lee Morgan has opted to miss the final rounds and 14-time race-winner Steele has jumped at the chance. Podiums are on his radar, he says.

Morgan's absence offers the 2014 Trophy 01 Class winner Oliver Rae the chance to steal third place in the overall standings. He wrapped up Trophy Class honours in August, and has been impressive all year.

Rae's Enigma Motorsport team-mate, Henry Chart, is looking for his first win of 2014, despite leading this year. The corresponding rounds of last season brought Chart his most recent win in the championship; he'll be expected to be in around the podium places when the championship returns to Norfolk.

After spending most of last weekend on the podium in the MRF series' Qatar rounds - including two wins and two third-places - 2014 champion Toby Sowery is absent this weekend. Championship runner-up, Tristan Cliffe, will look to capitalise and add to his win haul. Cliffe's family-run Omicron Motorsport team need only a handful of points to take its second Teams' Championship win in three years.

Gale Force Racing is second in the standings and needs almost maximum points to deny Omicron. It has an ace up its sleeve in Alice Powell, who at Rockingham became the first driver to beat Sowery this year. She won twice, but the 2013 runner-up's fortunes at Snetterton were not good last year as two non-finishes dented her title hopes. Nick Robinson will partner her at Gale Force, making the short trip from Ely to Snetterton searching more points.
