F3 Cup is set for a major development next season by allowing Formula Three chassis built between 2008 and 2011 to enter the main championship.

Further details on the cars' incorporation into F3 Cup's current class structure will be announced shortly.

The Invitation Class will remain part of the championship, open to any F3 car subject to the approval of the organisers.

MSVR Race Operations Manager, David Scott, said: "With the evolution of Formula 3 at both international and national level, the decision to allow cars manufactured up to
and including 2011 into the F3 Cup championship next year is a logical one.

"We are mindful to ensure that the pre-2008 chassis remain competitive and we are working with the F3 Cup teams to ensure this is achieved. The important thing is that F3 Cup flourishes under MSVR in 2015 and beyond.

"2015 will be the fifth season MSVR has organised F3 Cup, and we are confident next year will be the best yet, with another excellent calendar available to F3 Cup competitors."

Further details about the decision, including class structure changes, will be announced in the near future.
