Four from four for Sowery

Lanan Racing's Toby Sowery made it four wins from four races in F3 Cup with yet another dominant display at Silverstone, heading championship rival Tristan Cliffe.
Henry Chart shook off the attentions of Mark Harrison to take third, while Lee Morgan did similarly for fifth ahead of the sixth-placed Stuart Wiltshire.
Tristan Cliffe beat the getaway of the championship-leading Sowery to lead into Copse, the first he'd lost a position in 2014. Just one corner later Sowery was back in the lead at Maggotts, carrying more speed and holding on around the outside.
The win seemed a formality from there on and he set fastest lap after fastest lap before easing off to the flag, claiming the IWI Fastest Lap Award for the fastest race lap of the weekend in the process.
Chart, despite holding onto the coattails of Cliffe struggled with his gearbox, allowing Harrison to keep the pressure on throughout the race. Morgan too had an issue with second gear, but managed to overcome the problem for fifth.
Morgan was initially bettered off the line by Stuart Wiltshire, though the reigning Formula Jedi champion slipped up the inside of Copse to retake the position and slowly build a comfortable gap.
Behind, Tony Bishop and Nick Robinson battled relentlessly for seventh and Bishop appeared to have secured the spot until a resurgent Robinson cruised onto his tail. But, the Gale Force Racing driver couldn't find an opportunity to pass.
Louis Hamilton-Smith sat out round four after failing to cure his misfire, opting to save his engine.
Sowery's win stretches his lead on top of the standings, once again taking maximum points for the weekend.
