Powell focused on Teams Championship points

Double Rockingham race-winner Alice Powell returns to F3 Cup this weekend (25/26 October) at Snetterton for the final rounds of the 2014 season.

Double Rockingham race-winner Alice Powell returns to F3 Cup this weekend (25/26 October) at Snetterton for the final rounds of the 2014 season.

Powell, who finished runner-up behind Alex Craven in 2013, has raced just twice this year, in May, instead focusing on non-motorsport pursuits. The 21-year-old returns with Gale Force Racing to partner Nick Robinson.

She raced four times at Snetterton last season, picking up a podium in the final race of the year to cement her position as runner-up.

Gale Force Racing can win the Teams' Championship this weekend, but require almost maximum points, and hope Omicron Motorsport scores fewer than 10 points.

"I've been reminded all week that we need to win the race, so no pressure there " Powell said. "The aim is good points for the Teams' Championship to try and help Mike [Gale] win his first championship.

"Testing went well yesterday, although we lost most of one session because of an electrical issue. Hopefully we will get a good run and score some good points. It should be fun."

F3 Cup races twice this weekend at Snetterton. Qualifying starts at 11:25 on Saturday before round 15 at 15:55. Race two takes place at 11:30 on Sunday 26 October. Follow @F3Cup for live updates and like /F3Cup on Facebook.
