F3 Cup heads across the Channel this weekend for its annual overseas round, visiting the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. As the 2016 championship approaches the halfway point, this weekend will see the drivers do battle over two races, each with its own qualifying session.
Championship leader Shane Kelly will lead the charge with his student-run University of Wolverhampton Race Team. The team enjoyed a strong weekend at the circuit last year running in the Monoposto Championship, and will be very keen to continue their strong F3 Cup form this weekend.
Team Fox Racing will field a two car entry in Belgium, with Daryl Jones (currently second in the standings) running his Dallara F308 alongside teammate Robbie Watts, who always goes well at the circuit.
Third place George Line leads the CF Racing assault, as James Heffernan returns after missing the Brands Hatch round. Heffernan walked away with the Sunoco Driver of the Weekend Award in his debut at Donington Park in April, so will certainly be one to watch.
Omicron Motorsport's Jacopo Sebastiani will be looking to improve his run this year, after a great debut season in 2015 the Italian driver's struggled to find his true form this weekend, and team boss Tristan Cliffe will be pulling out all the stops to get his driver back on top.
Chris Dittmann Racing will field their usual three-way attack, comprising Stuart Wiltshire, Tony Bishop and Malcolm Scott. All three drivers hold Spa as a favourite circuit and will be keen to demonstrate what their cars are capable of.
Joining the grid this weekend in the Invitation class is Tim Buckley, running a Dallara F304 with a stock Toyota engine, which should prove very competitive in this field.
Live updates will be available via F3 Cup's Twitter account, with live timing and round-ups on the F3 Cup website.
