Team Fox Racing set for F3 Cup debut in 2016

F3 Cup is pleased to welcome another new team for the 2016 championship, in the shape of Silverstone-based Team Fox Racing. Team boss Dan Fox is excited to join the championship this year and brings with him a wealth of single-seater experience and a strong driver line-up.
Fox began his motorsport career nearly twenty years ago, joining Fred Goddard Racing. The team ran Formula Ford Zetec cars in the TOCA Championship, and F1 and F3000 cars in the BARC BOSS series in 2000. A move to Formula 3, running in Class B in the British Formula 3 Championship with Gary Paffett at the wheel, saw them clinch the championship title. Fox then went on to work for Fortec Motorsport's F3 operation, before later making a move to join the Red Bull Racing F1 team.
In 2010 Fox set up Team Fox Racing, preparing FF1600 cars in the Champion of Brands series and building Dallara F3 cars for Monoposto racing. Robbie Watts joined the fold in 2013, going on to win the Mono 2000 class in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The team also built and helped run other Monoposto front runners including Daryl Jones and Kevan McLurg.
In addition to their Monoposto and F3 Cup commitments, Team Fox look after three historic single seaters; a Shadow F1, a Lola F5000 and a March F2.
Their 2016 F3 Cup campaign will see them running Watts in his Dallara F308 and newcomer Daryl Jones in his F311, with other drivers currently testing the team's other F308 with a view to joining the championship.
Team Fox Racing join fellow newcomers University of Wolverhampton Race Team (UWR) on the F3 Cup grid this year, alongside returning regulars Omicron Motorsport, CF Racing, Grays Motorsport and 2015 Teams' Champions Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) to name just a few. This strong mix will no doubt ensure that the Teams' Championship is as fiercely contested as the Drivers' Championship this year.
