F3 Cup Teams

Welcome to the F3 Cup Teams section of the website, where you can find out more about the teams taking part in the F3 Cup Teams Championship.

All registered teams with a Motorsport UK entrant's licence can enter. Team points are awarded to the two highest-placed cars from each team in each race and are awarded as per the F3 Cup Drivers Championship, but without points for Pole Position and Fastest Lap.  

Points System

Points will be awarded as follows: 35-29-24-21-19-17-15-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 and all other classified finishers receive 1 point. Drivers who are not eligible for team points are "invisible".

CF Racing

CF Racing

CF Racing joined F3 Cup in 2015 after a number of successful years in the now British Formula 3 Championship.

A tight knit team of veteran Formula 3 racing professionals, the team compromises a seasoned Formula 3 driver managing the crew and offers a finely tuned Formula 3 car and crew available from track sessions to full seasons. The team claimed the F3 Cup Teams' Champion title in 2016, 2017 and 2019.

Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR)

Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR)

Chris Dittmann Racing has forged a reputation for producing superbly presented and very competitive race cars in a number of series, including F3 Cup and the BRDC British F3 Championship.

The Tewkesbury-based team is run by current racer and qualified engineer Chris Dittmann, who was the inaugural F3 Cup drivers' champion in 2012. The team’s contemporary experience means they are experts when it comes to driver preparation, and extend their offering with in-house simulator sessions on their brand new system, and training days with a KZ1 gearbox kart. These facilities make the team a suitable destination for car racing novices or drivers with experience looking to move to the next level.

Race weekend support is provided by driver coach Kieran Vernon, himself a multiple single seater race winner in Formula Ford, Formula Renault and Formula Palmer Audi.

Ever-presents in the BRDC F4 Championship and then the BRDC British F3 Championship, alongside their F3 Cup commitments, the team has demonstrated continued growth scoring multiple wins and numerous podium results.

Team Fox Racing

Team Fox Racing

Team Fox Racing joined F3 Cup in 2016 with a strong background in single-seater racing.

After leaving school team boss Dan Fox went straight to work at a race team Fred Goddard Racing based in Silverstone. The team ran Formula Fords Zetec cars in the TOCA championship and F1 and F3000 cars in the BARC BOSS series in 2000. They started running Class B F3 in the British Formula 3 Championship with Gary Paffet, and won the championship. Fox then went on to work for Fortec Motorsport in F3, before later making a move to join the Red Bull Racing F1 team.

In 2010 Fox set up Team Fox Racing, preparing FF1600 cars in the Champion of Brands series and building Dallara F3 cars for Monoposto racing. Robbie Watts joined the fold in 2013, going on to win the Mono 2000 class in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The team also built and helped run other Monoposto front runners including Daryl Jones and Kevan Mclurg.

In addition to their Monoposto and F3 Cup commitments, Team Fox look after three historic single seaters, in the shape of a Shadow F1, Lola F5000 and March F2.

University of Wolverhampton Racing (UWR)

University of Wolverhampton Racing (UWR)

The University of Wolverhampton’s School of Engineering look set once again to be the only University competing in this season’s F3 Cup competition – with the engineers of tomorrow building their skills and knowledge in the arena of professional motorsport.

The University of Wolverhampton operates its technical development under the banner UWR (University of Wolverhampton Racing) which comprises of the professional racing branch in F3 Cup, the design & development branch undertaking IMechE Formula Student along with the racing development branch being the factory works team for the Morgan Motor Company, along with numerous other projects.

University of Wolverhampton Racing is a team is made up of students in various team roles under the guidance of experienced staff from the professional motorsport industry.

While studying for their university degrees, students spend their evenings and weekends gaining valuable industry experience in professional motor racing, developing road cars via racing, or designing & building a race car from scratch.

With aspirations to work in motorsport one day, the engineering students are taught how to run a car professionally under the help and guidance of university staff. Their professional approach and passion for racing has seen them take second place in 2016 & 2017 in the F3 Cup championship, in 2016 UWR came within a single point of the overall title, collecting a string of race wins along the way.

Family run team Magic Motorsport have been involved in motorsport for more than 30 years running single –seater racing cars in a variety of championships/series.

The Kidderminster based outfit have enjoyed success in the British Sprint Championship winning the title in 2003, and the Monoposto Championship. The family-run team returns to F3 Cup in 2016 after a short break, this year challenging for the championship with Mark Harrison at the wheel. Harrsion regularly battled for podium finishes in the team's last F3 Cup season and will be competing in the Cup class once again.

Enigma Motorsport was founded in 2008 by experienced racer and British Formula Ford race winner Linton Stutley and engineer Thomas Farquhar.

Prior to founding Enigma Motorsport both team managers achieved BSc Honours in Motorsport Technology at the University of Derby. Whilst studying both bosses also gained experience in the British Formula Ford championship as a driver and mechanic respectively that has given them both over eight years of experience of top level single-seater racing.

In the teams short existence cars prepared by Enigma Motorsport have twice won the Zetec Formula Ford Festival, as well as the team winning the Finnish Formula Ford championship in 2010. In the British championship the team has secured numerous podium finishes and lap records with the team gaining an impressive fourth place finish in the 2011 Formula Ford Festival final.

Enigma Motorsport have been participating successfully in Formula Ford since 2008 and diversifyied into slicks and wings cars with a Formula 4 car and a Dallara F399. Linton Stutley drove in selected rounds of the 2012 F3 Cup championship, winning three races, whilst also completing the full British Formula Ford championship.

In 2013, Henry Chart won three times and Oliver Rae finished second overall in the Trophy Class with seven class wins.

Continuing the focus on producing motorsport's future mechanics, Gale Force Racing will be enlisting the help of students during race weekends as they did in their previous life as Mark Bailey Racing. Drivers previously run by the team include F3 Cup regulars Nick Robinson, Frank Thomas and Alice Powell, and the team returned in 2016 after a year away from the championship with new driver Chris Kite.

Omicron Motorsport are a family run team based in Mulbarton in Norfolk with a wealth of experience of preparing and running cars in club racing.

After several years running cars in the Monoposto Championship winning multiple title along the way, Omicron Motorsport stepped up to F3 Cup in 2012 fielding Dallara F307 cars for reigning Monoposto 2000 champion Tristan Cliffe and Tony Bishop, claiming the 2012 Teams' Champions title in the process. In 2013, Cliffe took the championship's most race wins and finished third in the standings.

Omicron Motorsport, run by the Cliffe family are a proven outfit when it comes to producing race winning and championship winning F3 cars. Omicron Motorsport are an enthusiastic, friendly company that have many years of experience in the automotive and motorsport sector, from classic car spares and restorations to winning club level Formula 3 championships in turn-of-the-century single seaters.

Lanan Racing

Double F3 Cup Championship winner Lanan Racing was founded by Robin Webb, Bill Bray and John Bright and boasts more than 30 years experience in motorsport.

The Bedfordshire-based team have featured heavily in F3 over the years and helped Alex Craven and Toby Sowery to the F3 Cup title in 2013 and 2014 respectively. In 2012, they ran four cars in the F3 Cup for Alf Skeels, Mark Terry, Kat Impey and Jamie Stanley, plus a number of guest drivers from top international championships. They also boasted the achivement of recording the most wins through the season with ten outright victories.

Respected Race Engineer Graham Johnson has created a team with a reputation for fielding competitive and well-presented cars, with over 15 years recent top line race engineering experience in A1GP, GP Masters, Indy Lights, F3000 and F3, and a further 10 years single-seater racing.
